However, transitioning to a vegan lifestyle requires careful consideration and mindful choices to ensure a balanced and nutritious meal plan. So I am going to explore the key elements of a

well-rounded vegan diet while also aiming to inspire and empower individuals embarking on this transformative journey of self-discovery. In our next months blog we discus foods, many different foods and their nutrition. Lets get hungry!

Positive Change: Build a Healthy Body and Mind

Why choose a vegan diet?

There are various reasons why individuals choose to go vegan. From ethical and environmental concerns to personal health goals, the decision to adopt a plant-based diet can be a powerful tool for positive change. By eliminating animal products, chemicals and sugar, you can reduce your carbon footprint, support animal welfare, and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Balancing macronutrients in a vegan diet:

A common misconception about a vegan diet is that it may lack essential nutrients and protein. However, with proper planning, it is entirely possible to obtain all the necessary macro and micronutrients and OverDose on protein if you need !

Seriously? Some meat eaters won't eat a salad or a apple 🍎. Who lacks nutrition, the person only eating animal protein and sweets or the vegan eating 30 different veggies a week, plus nuts, seeds, fruit and legumes (beans)?

Excessive protein intake can lead to long-term health problems, like arthritis.

Focus on: Incorporating a variety of plant-based protein sources like legumes, tofu, tempeh, and quinoa.

Include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats, like extra virgin olive oil in your meals to ensure a

well-balanced nutritional profile.

If you are still making the switch and eating meat, start transitioning to lean protein like fish or poultry. Small portions 3-5 ounces.

A safer, happy Earth - no guilt

I never ever heard an apple or any produce resist being picked or yell out in fear. I had a friend ask me how do I know that they don't yell in fear? Well I don't know if raspberries or oranges scream in pain when I take them from the Bush, or tree but, I have never heard it. The tree never pulled away and leaned to get away form me. I guess we could wait till the fruit falls off the tree. But until then I am picking it. It's conducive to a plant to have its fruit eaten by creatures as this spreads it seeds on the Earth. The plant prospers.

Supplementing key nutrients

Certain nutrients, such as vitamin B12 and omega-3 fatty acids, are predominantly found in animal products, is often the general call of fear. As a vegan, it is essential to supplement these nutrients to maintain optimal health. Incorporate fortified foods or consider taking supplements to ensure you are meeting your daily requirements. Shelled Hemp Seed is awesome and Nutritional Yeast together will give a tasty B12, Omega and protein rush. Flax seed and Flax oil is awesome.
